We implemented a new feeding technology for a biogas plant with a high fermenter in Korgau. A solids feed system with a capacity of 50 m³ and a MaCBox were used, which we planned and implemented as a complete system.
The particular technical challenge was to feed the mixed substrate directly through a heat exchanger and then into the high fermenter. This approach was implemented in this form for the first time and placed high demands on design, interfaces and process reliability.
In addition, a new plant control system was integrated, which is precisely tailored to the feeding technology and the overall system. This allows the process sequences to be controlled efficiently and operated stably.
The result is a well-thought-out, high-performance solution from a single source – and another example of innovative plant concepts and the successful cooperation of all project participants.
