MaCBox
Mix and cut in a box

When using different renewable raw materials and residual materials in biogas plants, it is essential to prepare the solid biomass optimally before fermentation.

Our MaCBox (Mix and Cut in a Box) from Brandt offers the perfect solution. It shreds fibrous solids and mixes them with liquid. Even the most challenging solids, such as manure or grass, are transformed into a homogeneous, pumpable biosuspension that can be easily fed into the fermentation process and is optimally prepared for digestion.

Your advantages:

  • Efficient operation: Pumps and agitators work less.
  • Save electricity: The energy consumption of the biogas plant is reduced.
  • Faster biogas formation: Optimal conditions for fermentation.
  • Higher yields: Increase the efficiency of your plant.

Focus on the essentials:
Efficient and low maintenance

When developing the MaCBox, we focus on the essentials: fewer wear parts, maximum efficiency. Thanks to its sophisticated design, the system requires only one feed pump and does not need a discharge pump – short distances and clever integration make this possible. A double bonus for you: you save not only on investment costs, but also on maintenance costs.

The advantages of the MaCBox at a glance:

  • Fibrous residues: Processing of up to 100% demanding materials.
  • High capacity: Up to 15 tonnes of solids and 75 m³ of substrate per hour.
  • Energy-efficient: Only 11 kW drive power – you reduce your energy costs.
  • Foreign object separation: Protects the pump technology and increases its service life.
  • Minimal maintenance: 50% fewer wear parts.
  • Effective fermentation: Reduces floating and sinking layers in the fermenter.

Integrated between

Solid feed and fermenter

The MaCBox is integrated between the solids inlet and the fermenter, thereby optimising the entire process. Find out more in our explanatory video.
