With a solids input from Brandt, you can optimise the atmosphere in your fermenter and your biogas plant will operate more economically. To achieve this, we take a holistic view of your plant and integrate the feeding technology optimally into the overall system so that agitators and pumps have less work to do. Low Energy Feeding (LEF) – energy-efficient and economical
Our LEF solids feeders set standards in terms of energy efficiency. Depending on the substrate being processed, energy consumption is as low as 0.8 kW/t. Since the biomass fed into the system is usually completely chopped or cut, our systems do not require mixing in the push floor bunker. This means they benefit from longer service life and low power consumption.
Why stainless steel? Robust and wear-resistant
Solid feeders for biogas plants are subject to severe requirements, as the substrates attack metal surfaces due to their low pH value. Many containers therefore wear out over time. Our solution: high-quality stainless steel construction. This makes our solid feeders resistant to corrosion, extremely durable, low-maintenance and ideally suited for continuous operation.
High discharge capacity, even with residual quantities
Our LEFs offer high discharge capacity, emptying the container completely even with residual quantities. The LEF has 12 or 15 push elements that are precisely controlled by hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic unit ensures a uniform oil supply to all cylinders and is pressure-monitored, enabling almost complete emptying. Extending the hydraulic cylinders pushes the push elements and thus the bunker contents towards the cross conveyor screw.
Precise dosing and weighing system
Our solid feed systems are equipped with an automatic weighing and dosing system. Four ground-level weighing stations accurately measure the substrate quantity. The automatic Brandt dosing system dispenses the correct amount of substrate at the right time. This ensures that the biomass is fed into the fermenter evenly. Operation is intuitive via touch screen or tablet.
